Documents required for a DSC: a simple checklist

Applications are paperless and verified by a short video KYC. The exact documents depend on who the certificate is for. Individual - PAN card (mandatory if you will use it on the Income Tax portal) - Address proof: Aadhaar, voter ID, passport, driving licence or a recent utility or bank statement - A passport-size photograph - Your own e-mail ID and mobile number Organisation with GST - PAN card of the applicant and a passport-size photograph - GST registration certificate - Authorisation letter and the authorised signatory's ID proof (for firms and companies) - Partnership deed or list of partners, or the MCA master data for companies Organisation without GST - PAN and photograph of the applicant - Business registration proof such as a shop licence - A recent current-account bank statement - Authorisation letter and the other organisation papers Foreign national - Valid passport and a passport-size photograph - Address proof (passport or OCI, a local ID, bank details or a utility bill) - E-mail ID and mobile number For the video step, keep your original PAN or Aadhaar and any business certificate with you and follow the on-screen instructions.
